Cheers to 2024! The holiday season can be busy, causing us to crave rest and resetting in the new year. This month's list emphasizes calm and reflective activities.
Contemporary Art Museum exhibits: explore exhibits by Hajra Waheed (“A Solo Exhibition”), Dominic Chambers (“Birthplace”), Justin Favela (“Ruta Madre”), and Ruth Reese (“Metamorphosis”); free admission
Shanti Yoga at Pulitzer Arts Foundation: in the museum’s main gallery enjoy a yoga class for all ability levels on Jan 5 at 5 or 7pm; free to attend, must register
Be Well Farmer’s Market: shop local, fresh foods every Saturday in January at 2027 Salisbury next to the Be Well Cafe; 9am - 12 pm, free to attend
Sound Bath + Recess at The City Museum: on Jan 6 from 9-10am attendees will be “bathed” in sound waves lead by Yoga Buzz; $25 per ticket which includes entry into the museum
Angad Arts Hotel’s Curated Cocktail: this month’s art talk series features artist Samantha Clarke who will speak on her work while attendees enjoy a curated cocktail based on her painting Amber; on Jan 8, 6-7pm, tickets are $15
Hold On! at The Black Rep: the inspiration behind the film “Selma”, Hold On! will premier at the Edison Theatre on Jan 10 and run Wed-Sun through January; tickets $20+
HxH performance: on Jan 14, 12-3pm, Chris Ryan Williams and Lester St. Louis will perform a live, in-gallery performance at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation; free to attend
Loop Ice Carnival: the Delmar Loop will host the 17th annual ice carnival Jan 20, 11am - 7pm where 40+ ice sculptures will be on display, along with a live ice carving demonstration and more; free to attend
The Brewery Comedy Tour: sit back and enjoy a night of comedy hosted by Rockwell Beer Company on Jan 25, 7-8:30pm; tickets $13-20
Orchid Show at Missouri Botanical Gardens: on Jan 27 the Garden’s orchid collection will be on display which includes 6,000+ plants; included in $16 garden admission

Parker's Table will have free in-store wine tasting Jan 20th and 27th from 11 AM - 2 PM. Highly recommend it as a fun indoor activity!
