12 Things To Do in St Louis: December
Insane holiday pop-up bars, a RE/MADE appearance, and a llama petting zoo!
In the November send I shared a lot of holiday events that will continue into December. To avoid repeating myself, I left anything I’ve already mentioned out of this month’s newsletter. But I would be remiss not to remind you of Garden Glow, Winterfest, and St. Charles Christmas Traditions.
Now onto the new stuff!
Annual Maplewood Christmas Tree Walk: on Dec 1 head to Maplewood for the tree lighting, caroling, a visit from Santa, and to sip hot chocolate while visiting the local businesses
Window Walk in the CWE: admire the decorated storefront windows and enjoy free holiday festivities including carriage rides, carolers, s’mores, and more; Dec 2, 9, 16 & 23 from 1-5 PM
Winter Market at City Foundry: on Dec 3 from 12-5 PM enjoy a market full of local businesses (including RE/MADE!) and seasonal drinks from Kitchen Bar on Foundry Way
Pete Davidson: enjoy a comedy show by the SNL alum at The Pageant on Dec 4 at 7:00 PM or 9:30 PM; tickets from $150/ person
Cellar Series: Winslow’s Table will host their monthly wine class in which you can learn about great wines for the holiday season while enjoying wine pairings with small bites; Dec 7, tickets are $40/ person
St. Louis Symphony Orchestra:
A Gospel Christmas: IN UNISON Chorus will perform at the Stifel Theatre Dec 8; tickets from $42
Home Alone in Concert: on Dec 9 & 10 experience the musical joy of the Home Alone movie at the Stifel Theatre; tickets from $47
Lafayette Square Holiday Parlor Tour: take a self-guided walking tour through 11 unique homes on Lafayette Square and enjoy a holiday-themed street market; Dec 10, tickets are $35/person in advance
Rockwell Beer Co’s Winterfest: at the taproom on Dec 16th and beer garden Dec 17th you can expect local vendors, drink specials, and a llama petting zoo (yes, you read that correctly!)
12 Bars of Charity: a pub crawl to (you guessed it) 12 bars in St. Louis on Dec 16; tickets are $42.50/person ($15 goes to the charity of your choice) and include a sweatshirt, shuttle pass, admission to the participating bars, and drink specials
The Nutcracker Ballet: the Fabulous Fox Theatre on Dec 22 with shows at 2:00 PM and 6:30 PM; tickets from $75/ person
Q Brothers Christmas Carol: it’s a Christmas classic but with the modern twist of Hip-Hop ghosts of past, present and future; The National Blues Museum, Wed-Sat weekly Dec 1-23; tickets start at $20
Holiday Pop-Up Bars:
Tinsel & ‘Tinis: Dec 1-2 Das Bevo Underground will be decked out in holiday speakeasy vibes- wear your best ugly sweater and sip on specialty cocktails from 5-10 PM
The Chalet: on the sky-high deck of Le Méridien experience a winter escape with curling, fire pits, and seasonal bites; Friday-Sunday weekly Dec 1-31; first come, first serve seating but you can rent a curling rink for $50/hour
Up on The Rooftop: Three Sixty at the Hilton downtown is decked out in Christmas decor and serving holiday drinks with delicious food; nightly Dec 1-30, first come first serve seating
The Sleigh Shed: the Train Shed at Union Station is transformed into a holiday wonderland and serving creative cocktails with holiday appetizers and desserts; Dec 1-31, first come first serve seating
LIT: Molly’s in Soulard is decked out with outrageous décor, themed menus, and holiday tunes Dec 1-23; reserve a table for $10/ person
